Club Triathlon Race Notes
Race start is at Fishermans Beach, Port Kembla.
All events start at 8am sharp unless stated otherwise.
Registration from 7:00am to 7.30am -
If you are not in the registration line at 7:30am you will not be racing that day.

Your age for the 2011/2012 season is based on your age as at 31/12/2011.
The 2011/12 point score AGE GROUP results will be based on your best 5 performances over the 6 triathlon races this season. (team's race doesn't count)

NOTE: You must carry out your marshall to win any Categories.
The pointscore has been designed to reward those members who are regular participants and perform well throughout the whole season, and also carry out their compulsory Marshall duty (once per season) Club races have been scheduled, as well as possible, to not clash with other NSW races that club level athletes may like to try.

MARSHALLING
10 points will be awarded for your marshall duty (on top of your best 5 races), (whether it was a duathlon or a triathlon during 2011/12) . In the event of a tie, the 6th race result will be used, if 6TH result not available then a count back will occur, e.g the person who had the most wins, 2nd's etc.
CLUB CHAMPIONS
Overall placings (on time) will be sorted and points calculated the same as the above table
Club champions trophy will be awarded to the highest placed overall athlete, using the best 5 performances in the 6 races with the 10 point marshall points added as well, in the following categories
Male and Female, Junior (13-19) Male and Female.
General Race Notes
Races are for Members of Illawarra, Kiama and Southern Highlands Triathlon Clubs (Members of other clubs and first timers can purchase a one day associate member fee but after one event MUST join the club, associate member fee will be deducted from full membership fee)
Past club members must join the club to race.
ILLAWARRA TRY A TRIATHLON RULES
New Athletes of all levels are welcome to TRY a race at our club races.
We keep our membership fees very low, and expect that if you would like to continue racing at our club races that you join our club and carry out your compulsory marshalling duty. Many hands make light work. Please respect this rule.
RACE CANCELLATIONS
Due to the nature of the sport and the location of our race, we sometimes are affected by conditions out of our control. The race coordinators (on the day) will make a decision at 7am whether to modify or cancel the race. A minimum of any 3 committee members available at 7am will take part in this decision. Their decision is final.
In the event of a race cancellation, all attendees will be awarded 10 points for the day, including marshals who still showed up.
In the event of a race change due to bad weather or dangerous surf conditions, points will be awarded the same as if a triathlon had been run.
