15/04/2007 Race 7 Port Kembla Triathlon 15 April 2007 A calm and cool day greeted all Triathletes for the last triathlon race of the season. Phil Giles back from a long term injury wasted little time riding to the front of the chasing pack and holding everyone off on the run. With only two ladies competing today Laila Comer was the one in front at the end of the run leg. RESULTS Remember Nelson Bay on the 28 April and also keep the 25th of May free for the Club Presentation Night.
04/04/2007 Congratulations to all those who completed the Australian Ironman on Sunday. As a club we all performed outstandingly and from the stories told everyone has come home un-injured apart from a few blisters and sore muscles. Special mention to Scott Harrison whose time was good enough to receive a qualification spot for the World Championships to be held in Hawaii in October later this year. Below are results of our club members and some Friends of the Club whom we know.
25/03/2007 Race 6 Port Kembla Triathlon 25 March 2007 Well Wollongong certainly lived up to its name as one of the windiest places in the state on Sunday. Scott Lunney was able to keep his bike upright in the difficult conditions to take the win while Danielle Brennan held all the ladies off for a female win.
We had a poor Marshal showing so please check your name for the last event as listed here, Those that have not Marshalled yet have been listed to volunteer their services.
27/02/07 Australian SPRINT and LONG COURSE Distance Championships - Huskisson We had many club members down for the Australian Sprint distance Championships on Saturday and the Australian Long Course Championships on Sunday. The weather seemed to hold off for both events and everyone had a great day. Special mention goes to our sprint guys whom grab a swag of podium positions.. Gee our course is great training.
