Welcome to the new Illawarra Triathlon Clubs new website. Have a look through and check out the new features. Our Club has been established for over twenty years and we now encourage anyone would would like to participate in triathlon to come along to one of our racing or training events. We also encourage families to become involved in competition and the social aspect of triathlon.

Club Duathlon race 1 report

Sunday was the first of the Winter Duathlon Races. The race conditions were cool but clear for the 25 competitors who braved the early morning start. 

For the first time the race set-up was done by D&D Traffic Management which saved a lot of time and effort for the Committee. The first run leg was hotly contended with Jono Wheaton taking an early lead. This soon changed with Luke Zweers leading out on to the bike leg. He was followed and eventually over-taken by Ian Kennerley.

Mt Annan Duathlon Series Rnd 3

As the winter temperatures continue to plummet, the goggles are packed away and we prepare for the season of duathlons. There were many athletes who made their way upto the Mount Annan Botanic Gardens to brave the chill for the third and final round of the Mount Annan Duathlon Series. Despite the goose bumps, the conditions on the day were ideal, and we were provided with a scenic course, free of traffic (and speed humps).
